What I'm doing now
In the middle of my first year as a Big Brother. One of the scariest, most fulfilling responsibilities I’ve ever taken on.
Reading The Silmarillion, listening to The Lord of the Rings narrated by Rob Inglis, and learning more about J.R.R. Tolkien’s work. I remember pushing myself to read The Hobbit in elementary school, sometime in 4th, 5th, or 6th grade. It’s interesting to return to an old fascination with fresh eyes and ears.
Building a new fence for the house. The previous one was crumbling and full of rot, a combination of poor design (most boards end grain exposed to Seattle weather for years and years) and lack of upkeep. I used Apple’s Freeform app to design the new fence.
Giving away my stuff.
